ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

CMCEO has been helping individuals and families who lack access to resources for vocational rehabilitation, employment, health and wellbeing, housing, and economic empowerment get the services they need. We support over 10,000 households and individuals annually. CMCEO nurtured relationship with communities, community leadership, cultural and religious leaders in St. Cloud area for a long period of time. Our presence and participation in the community helped us build trust and confidence.

It’s common practice for BIPOC communities to be presented with solutions without being consulted. As an organization, our main priority is listening to our community’s concerns and their proposed solutions.

We have engaged with the community on different fronts, such as COVID vaccination, teaching conflict resolution, bullying prevention, teaching Summer and After School Programs, Training, Housing Support, Career Advancement, Economic Empowerment, Youth Development & Business Development.

Furthermore, we advocate for BIPOC communities to be heard and consulted with on decisions that affect their lives and communities. Hence, improving our community’s livelihood and wellbeing.

Our advocacy focuses on Housing, Education, Health, workforce development, Small Business support, and economic integration that will impact the BIPOC and the greater communities of Central Minnesota. To inspire integration and reduce the disparities in these areas.
